Description of centre Pilgrims is a centre for inspiration. We help professionals improve their relationship with their English, we recognise your English will never be perfect, but it will be YOUR English and you will FEEL confident and comfortable with your English. Based in historic Canterbury, our unique open-plan training space provides a learning environment that is real and reflects the real professional world instead of the of synthetic environment of traditional classrooms. We are proud to be small, there are never more than 8 students in the school each week - this means we can always fulfill our promise of giving you the personal attention you deserve at all times. We don't use books and our coaches don't plan lessons. We put you the participant at the centre of everything and not the teacher's pre-planned idea of what a lesson should be. At Pilgrims we teach people not methods. Every part of your Pilgrims experience is designed so that you can relax, feel comfortable and confident. Daily lunches with Pilgrims managers in local restaurants give you the opportunity to meet and speak with us every day. Our staff work in the same room as you, so we are available for you all day every day. Our Teacher Training Courses attract over 1000 teachers every year from over 30 different countries. In addition we can arrange teacher training events in your country. Pilgrims Trainers are famous authors and speakers at international fairs and conferences and we publish two magazines - Humanising Language Teaching - http://www.hltmag.co.uk and the Teacher Trainer Journal.
