Description of centre British Study Centres welcomes over 80 different nationalities each year. The longest established independent language school in Manchester, we have been operating since 1991 and are members of EnglishUK and EnglishUK North. We offer General English 20/25/30 lessons; IELTS preparation, University of Cambridge Examination Courses - First / Advanced; University of Cambridge Examination Courses for teachers (CELTA full-time/online, DELTA part-time and TKT), We are a premium centre course provider for OET and an official Cambridge Language Assessment (SELT approved) & Trinity examination centre. From 2020 we have been offering new courses; Skills for Career Success and Skills for Academic Success. In partnership with Manchester City Football BSC is proud to deliver football and language programmes. The maximum number of students in each class is 14. We accept students from age 16 on our adult programmes and have a wide range of accommodation available, including home stay, and a university residence. BSC Manchester accepts groups from aged 14 years and can offer bespoke programmes. BSC Manchester is located in the heart of the city. Manchester is vibrant and cosmopolitan with a historic music scene and host of cultural and sporting venues. We are just a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station, bus and tram stops and are surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and supermarkets. Our extensive social programme includes local activities plus excursions to other cities in the UK. We run weekly clubs such as a book club, job club and film nights.
